What AIApply is best at

AIApply is a one-login job search suite. Its site lists an AI resume builder, a cover letter generator, a resume scanner and optimizer, a resume translator, a job board, AI Mock Interview and Interview Buddy for real-time help and post-interview feedback. Auto-Apply submits applications for you, tailored to each role, and you pay for it with credits.

That structure suits someone who needs better materials and practice more than hands-free volume. The limits are the credit meter, which makes heavy applying cost more, and the absence of public dollar prices, so you only see the amount at checkout. What Simplify is best at

Simplify works like a common application for job boards: you build a profile once and the Copilot extension fills it into applications. Its help center lists support for Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS, Jobvite, Taleo and more than 20 other systems, and the company reports more than two million users. Because you press submit, you control what goes out.

Simplify+ adds AI resume tailoring, cover letters, answers to open-ended questions, AI email and networking tools. Autopilot is the newer part: its help center says it is in beta for Simplify+ members and gives 20 credits a week, one per successful application, with no rollover and no way to buy more yet. Simplify says Autopilot is deliberately cautious and marks an application failed when it is unsure, which protects accuracy but limits volume.

Pricing and limits side by side

Simplify is the only one of the two that publishes paid prices, and its short plans are unusual: a week costs $19.99, so a one-week sprint is possible, but the three-month plan at $89.99 works out to roughly $7 a week. AIApply keeps prices inside the app, so the fair comparison is to total the plan and the credits you expect to use, then divide by the interviews you expect.

Neither tool charges per interview, so measure outcomes yourself. Send about 25 well-matched applications through each, then compare replies.

What changed since earlier comparisons

Older comparisons, including earlier versions of this article, described Simplify as an autofill tool with no automation. That is no longer the full picture: Simplify’s help center now documents Autopilot, an auto-apply feature in beta for Simplify+ members. It is limited to 20 applications a week, so it complements Copilot rather than replacing a bulk tool, but it does mean the line between free autofill and paid automation has moved.

A two-week test

1. Install Simplify’s free Copilot and use it for your next ten applications, noting how long each takes.
2. Run ten applications through AIApply’s Auto-Apply, noting credits spent and how much you had to edit.
3. Compare time, cost and replies. If AIApply’s cover letters and interview practice raised your reply rate, the credits paid off; if forms were the only bottleneck, Simplify alone may be enough.

AIApply does not show dollar prices, the credit cost of one application or whether credits expire. Simplify says Autopilot is a beta, so its weekly allowance and eligible listings may change. Neither company publishes interview or reply rates you can rely on, so measure your own results.

Cancellation and refunds

AIApply’s FAQ says you can cancel from your account settings, that subscriptions renew automatically and that refunds are reviewed case by case. Simplify’s help center also says subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled, has a dedicated article on managing or canceling a subscription and links a refund policy in its footer. Because Simplify+ can be bought by the week, set a reminder for the day the next charge lands.

Which should you choose?

• Choose Simplify if you apply by hand, mostly use company career pages and want accurate autofill without paying.
