Huntr Review (2026): Job Tracker, AI Resume Tools & Pricing

Huntr review: a legit job tracker with a generous free plan (100 jobs) and Pro from $26.66/month. Features, pricing, user reviews and Huntr alternatives.

Huntr review cover: title card on the job tracker, AI resume tools and pricing, beside a verdict checklist

Huntr is a legit, well-established job search organizer: its visual job tracker, Chrome job clipper and AI resume tailoring help you manage a search from first save to offer, and it says 500,000+ job seekers have used it. The free plan tracks up to 100 jobs and is enough for many people, while Pro costs $40 a month or as little as $26.66 a month billed every six months. Huntr helps you apply faster but doesn’t apply for you, so it complements an AI job application bot rather than replacing one.

Key takeaways

  • Huntr (huntr.co) is a job search CRM: save jobs from thousands of sites, track them on a visual board and manage contacts, interviews and notes.
  • Free plan (October 2026): track up to 100 jobs, unlimited autofills and contacts, and two job-tailored resumes.
  • Pro: $40/month, $90 every 3 months or $160 every 6 months, with unlimited AI resumes, cover letters and tracking.
  • There’s no free trial of Pro, but cancellation is self-serve and you keep your data on the free plan.
  • Google shows Huntr’s Chrome extension at 4.8 stars from 1.3K ratings.

How we reviewed it: we checked Huntr’s homepage and pricing page on October 7, 2026, then compared them with Chrome Web Store and app store data, Trustpilot snippets, a Reddit thread and independent comparisons published in 2025–2026.

What is Huntr?

Huntr is a job search management platform built around a job tracker. Its homepage tagline, as of October 2026, is “Less Hassle, More Interviews,” and it says Huntr “helps you organize your job search, create tailored resumes and cover letters in seconds and fill out application forms in one click.” It describes itself as being “like having 9 apps in one.”

At its core is a visual board, the kind of AI job tracker that replaces spreadsheets: every job you save keeps its description, salary, location, dates, tasks and notes. Around that, Huntr adds resume tools comparable to an AI resume creator, a cover letter writer similar to an AI cover letter generator, an application autofill extension and a contact tracker for recruiters and hiring managers.

Huntr also sells to organizations, including university career centers, bootcamps, career coaches, workforce development programs and outplacement firms, and publishes research such as its 2025 Job Search Trends Report.

How Huntr works

Huntr is designed to sit alongside wherever you find jobs:

  1. Sign up for free and install the Chrome Job Clipper. The clipper saves job details “from thousands of sites, in one click,” so postings aren’t lost when listings are taken down.
  2. Organize your board. Saved jobs appear as cards that you drag through stages, for example from applied to the interview column. You can add notes, tasks, dates and private notes, and a map view shows how far each employer is from home.
  3. Tailor your resume. Huntr extracts keywords from each job description and also matches its responsibilities and qualifications against your resume, giving you a match score. AI suggestions help you rewrite bullets and summaries to cover gaps.
  4. Review and check. The AI Resume Review gives a line-by-line critique “in under five minutes,” and the Resume Checker scores spelling, length, use of metrics and repetition.
  5. Write and autofill. Generate a cover letter for the role, then use the extension to autofill application forms, which Huntr says works on “1000s of websites.”
  6. Track contacts and results. Store recruiter and hiring-manager details, log interviews and review your job search metrics over time.

The workflow is deliberately manual at the decision points. Huntr speeds up each step, but you choose the jobs, approve the resume changes and submit every application yourself.

Pricing and plans (October 2026)

Huntr publishes its prices on its pricing page:

PlanPriceBillingWhat you get
Free$0Always freeUnlimited base resumes, free PDF export, 2 job-tailored resumes and 2 application packets, all templates, basic matching and scoring, tracking for up to 100 jobs, Chrome job clipper, map view, unlimited contacts and autofills, up to 100 document uploads
Pro monthly$40/monthMonthlyUnlimited job-tailored resumes and packets, unlimited AI generations, AI cover letters, AI resume reviews and tailoring, advanced matching and scoring, unlimited tracking, job search metrics, unlimited uploads
Pro quarterly$30/month$90 every 3 monthsSame as monthly
Pro biannual$26.66/month$160 every 6 monthsSame as monthly

Free plan. It’s genuinely usable long term. The main limits are 100 tracked jobs, two tailored resumes and a small allowance of complimentary AI credits; after those credits run out, AI features require Pro. Resume Optimizer Pro’s 2026 comparison points out that if you apply to 30 or more roles a week, the 100-job cap fills up in three to four weeks, so heavy appliers should plan for Pro or archive old jobs.

Free trial. Huntr says there’s no free trial of Pro; the free plan’s AI credits serve as the test.

Cancellation. It’s self-serve: open Personal Account Settings, then Plan & Usage. Your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period and then drops to the free plan. Huntr says you won’t lose data, though you won’t be able to save more than 100 jobs or generate AI content.

Which billing period? For a search of two months or less, monthly billing is cheaper ($80 for two months versus $90 for a quarter). If you expect to search for longer than two months, the quarterly plan ($90) beats three months of monthly billing ($120). The six-month plan is the cheapest per month but only makes sense for a long or ongoing search.

What users say

Huntr is well reviewed as a tool, though users are clear that a tracker can’t create interviews on its own.

  • Chrome Web Store: as of October 2026, Google shows Huntr’s extension at 4.8 stars from 1.3K ratings; Huntr’s own site cites “over 1.1k reviews and a 4.9 star rating.”
  • Trustpilot: a review shown in Google’s snippet comes from a user of two years who says Huntr makes it very easy to customize a resume for each posting and helped them secure many interviews.
  • App Store: a review of the Huntr mobile app calls it “a good tool,” noting that you have to apply to around 50 jobs to get one callback and that the reviewer isn’t sure how else they’d keep track of them all.
  • r/HuntrCo: in an early-2026 post titled “My results after over 8 months of using Huntr,” a user reported only two interview processes that went beyond the recruiter screen over that period. It’s a reminder that Huntr organizes a search rather than generating interviews.
  • Independent comparisons: Careerflow’s comparison of Huntr, Teal and Careerflow describes Huntr’s tracker as “very visual,” with jobs clipped from LinkedIn and other boards dropping into a kanban-style board. Careerflow sells a competing product, so weigh its broader verdict accordingly.

If you enjoy running your own search and want it organized, Huntr’s free plan is excellent value. Who should use Huntr (and who shouldn’t)

  • Tailor your resume for each application and want keyword and responsibility matching.
  • Are a career coach, bootcamp or university team supporting many job seekers.
  • Want a capable free plan without a time limit.

Verdict

As of October 7, 2026, Huntr is a legitimate, polished job tracker with one of the best free plans in the category, and its AI resume tailoring is a genuine step beyond basic keyword matching. Start on the free plan; upgrade to Pro, ideally quarterly, only when you’re tailoring resumes for many applications or tracking more than 100 jobs. Just remember that Huntr organizes and speeds up your own applying rather than doing it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have a question?

Write to contact@jobsaicopilot.com or visit our contact page.

Is Huntr worth it?

For most job seekers the free plan is worth it on its own: you can track up to 100 jobs, clip postings from any site, autofill applications and create two job-tailored resumes. Pro is worth paying for if you tailor resumes for many applications or track more than 100 jobs; it costs $40 a month, or less if you pay for three or six months upfront.

How much does Huntr cost?

As of October 2026 Huntr has a free plan and a Pro plan. Pro costs $40 billed monthly, $90 every three months ($30 a month) or $160 every six months (about $26.66 a month), with the same features on each. There's no free trial of Pro, and you can cancel yourself at any time and drop back to the free plan.

What is Huntr.com used for?

Huntr, found at huntr.co, is used to organize a job search. You save jobs from almost any site with its Chrome clipper, move them through stages on a visual board, and keep notes, contacts, interview dates and salaries in one place. It also builds and tailors resumes with AI, writes cover letters and autofills application forms.

Which job tracker is the best?

It depends on how you search. Huntr is strong if you want a visual board plus AI resume tailoring. Teal suits people who focus on resume building alongside tracking, and Simplify logs applications automatically when you apply through its extension. A spreadsheet works for very small searches. If you also want applications submitted for you, choose a tool with a built-in tracker.

Is there a 100% free resume builder?

Yes, a few are free in practice. Huntr's free plan includes unlimited base resumes, all of its templates and free PDF export with no time limit; only the AI-heavy features need Pro. Jobscan also offers a free ATS resume builder. Be wary of builders that let you create a resume for free but charge you to download it.
