Resume.io’s terms of service are an agreement with “Talent Worldwide, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates,” covering “the career.io and resume.io platforms.” The terms page footer also lists a Dutch entity in Breda, Netherlands. Support “typically responds within 24 hours,” according to the pricing page.
Earlier versions of this review listed dozens of extra features, from an interview simulator to a salary analyzer. We could not confirm those on the pages we checked in October 2026, so we have limited this review to what Resume.io currently states.

How the trial works. Resume.io’s FAQ says the trial “has 100% access to all of resume tools, templates, cover letters, and download formats,” and that “after 7 days if you don’t cancel you are automatically subscribed to the premium monthly membership.”
Which option makes sense?
- One resume, now: prepare everything on the free plan, then use the 7-day trial to download and cancel before day 7.
- A search of a few months: the Quarterly plan ($49.95) costs less than three four-week renewals ($89.85).

What the free plan is good for
The free plan is a genuine way to try the editor: you can build one complete resume and one cover letter, see how the templates handle your content, share a link (with limited analytics) and download a plain-text copy for pasting into online application forms. What it will not give you is a formatted PDF or Word file, which is what most employers expect when they ask you to upload a resume.

Resume.io refunds: two different promises
Resume.io’s own pages do not agree on refunds:
- Pricing page and FAQ: “We offer a good ol’ fashioned, no questions asked, 7-day money back guarantee. If you purchase a plan and decide within 7 days that you didn’t get your money’s worth, we’ll give you a refund.”
- Terms of service (last updated May 21, 2026): “No refunds will be provided for our subscription services,” followed by: “Some of our services may include a specific guarantee; please see our package descriptions to confirm whether your package includes any guarantee.”
- EU residents: a separate supplement says a money-back guarantee applies for the duration of a 7-day trial.
Because the package description on the pricing page includes the 7-day guarantee, ask within seven days of purchase and quote that wording. After that, assume no refund.
How to cancel Resume.io
- Download what you need first, in PDF and every other format.
- Cancel in the app. The FAQ says you “can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at anytime from the app.”
- Or cancel by email. The terms say cancellation “must be effected by electronic means, in the same manner as the subscription was entered into, via your account or by email to support@career.io.”
- Know when it takes effect. “Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid term.”
- Request a refund within seven days if you are unhappy, citing the guarantee on the pricing page.
- Keep evidence. Screenshot the cancellation screen or keep the email thread, so you can dispute any renewal charge that appears after you cancelled.
