Teal is a legitimate job search platform from Teal Labs, and its resume builder is genuinely free: unlimited resumes and unlimited job tracking cost nothing. Teal+ adds unlimited AI writing and full keyword matching for $13 a week, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days as of October 2026. It organizes and tailors your search well, but it does not submit applications for you.

What is Teal?

Teal (tealhq.com) is a job search workspace from Teal Labs, Inc. Its best-known product is the AI Resume Builder, but the platform also includes a job application tracker, a Chrome extension, a cover letter generator, a resume-to-job-description match score, an ATS resume checker, LinkedIn profile tools, an interview tracker and a networking CRM. Teal says it has “Over 4 Million Users.”

In our terms, Teal overlaps with an AI resume creator and an AI job tracker. It stops short of automated job applications: you still open every posting and submit it yourself.

How Teal’s resume builder works

Teal treats your resume as a database of experience that you reshape for each job:

1. Add your history. Upload an existing resume, import your LinkedIn profile or type it in. Teal stores it as a reusable career history.
2. Pick a template. The free plan includes 10 templates and basic Design Mode settings; Teal+ unlocks all templates and advanced settings.
3. Attach a job description. Teal highlights the keywords the posting uses. Free users see the top five; Teal+ shows every keyword and a Match Score for how well your resume fits.
4. Write with AI. Generate achievement bullets, a professional summary or a cover letter. Free users get 10 bullet credits, 2 summaries and 2 cover letters.
5. Check the analysis. Real-time feedback flags structure, formatting and content issues.
6. Export and track. Save the tailored version, then log the application in the Job Tracker.

Because you can create unlimited resume versions, the workflow encourages tailoring. That is Teal’s main strength: it makes a targeted resume for each role faster, without automating the application itself.

The job tracker and Chrome extension

Teal’s Chrome extension lets you “save jobs, track applications, and manage contacts from 40+ job boards,” including LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. A “Super Search” feature searches several boards at once. Saved jobs land in the tracker, where you set statuses, goals, notes, contacts and follow-up reminders.

Teal’s site also lists an “Autofill Job Applications” feature that fills application questions with your answers. You still review and click submit on each one.

Which billing period makes sense? Teal shows the daily cost of each option: $1.85 a day weekly, $0.96 every 30 days and $0.87 every 90 days. The 90-day plan works out to about $6 a week, while the weekly plan costs more than twice as much per week. Earlier versions of this review listed Teal+ at $9 a week; the weekly price is now $13.

Cancellation and refunds. Cancelling stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are not automatic. Teal’s policy, dated July 27, 2026, requires refund requests within 2 calendar days of the billing period start on the weekly plan, 7 days on the monthly plan and 14 days on quarterly or annual plans.

As of October 7, 2026, Teal is one of the best free job search organizers available. The free plan alone covers unlimited resumes, unlimited tracking and a capable Chrome extension, and Teal+ is reasonably priced if you buy 30 or 90 days at a time.

Its limit is by design: Teal prepares you to apply but never applies for you. Start free, upgrade only when you need the full keyword list or unlimited AI writing, and avoid the weekly plan unless you need just a few days.
