Sprout AI alternatives: eight job application tools compared on price per application, listed on a violet cover

The best Sprout AI alternatives in 2026 are JobsAICopilot for higher daily volume with an approval step, Wobo for a swipe-style phone app, FastApply for the lowest published price per application, and Simplify for free autofill. “Sprout AI” here means the AI job search app at usesprout.com, not the social media tool Sprout Social. People usually leave the Sprout job app because of its application caps, the cost of the weekly plan or a wish for more control, not because it doesn’t work.

Key takeaways

  • Sprout’s plans (checked October 14, 2026): $19.99 a week for 50 applications, $39.99 a month for 200, $79.99 a quarter for 600, which is about $0.40, $0.20 and $0.13 per application.
  • FastApply (from $12.67 a month on its 90-day plan, 200 applications) and JobsAICopilot Elite (up to 50 a day) cost less per application at full use.
  • Wobo is the closest phone-first swipe experience and has a free plan with up to 5 applications a day.
  • Before you switch, compare four things: price per application, daily or monthly caps, whether you can approve each submission, and the refund terms.

Why people look for a Sprout AI alternative

Sprout is a legitimate subscription app that writes tailored resumes and cover letters and submits applications, and its pricing page lists a 4.8/5 App Store rating and 750,000+ users. We cover the product itself in our Sprout AI job search review. The reasons people search for alternatives are mostly practical:

  • Caps. The most you can send is 50 a week, 200 a month or 600 a quarter. That is roughly six or seven applications a day, so a high-volume search runs out of allowance.
  • The weekly plan is the priciest per application. At $0.40 an application, it costs twice the monthly plan and three times the quarterly plan.
  • Trust in the advertising. In a late-2025 r/recruitinghell thread, commenters concluded that a viral post about the app “was all just an ad for the Sprout app.” That says nothing about the product, but it pushes some people to compare first.
  • Little detail on where it applies. Sprout’s pricing page does not say which job boards or employer systems it submits to, and we found no Trustpilot reviews for it to check against.
  • Review step. You can review first or “tap to apply,” so the safeguard depends on your discipline.

It helps to separate three jobs. Finding openings is automated job search; completing and submitting forms is AI automated job application; tailoring documents is the work of an AI resume creator and an AI cover letter generator. Sprout bundles all three in one app. Some alternatives do the same, such as the AI job application bot we build, Massive and AIApply; others do only one part, such as LoopCV’s email outreach or LazyApply’s high-volume submissions.

Sprout AI alternatives at a glance

Sprout and FastApply figures were checked on their pricing pages on October 14, 2026. Other prices come from the vendors’ pricing pages or help centers, checked October 7, 2026, and from our own reviews; Massive does not publish prices, so its figure is a third-party report. “Review before sending” means you can approve or edit an application before it goes out.

The 8 best Sprout AI alternatives in 2026

1. JobsAICopilot: best for daily volume with approval on every application

JobsAICopilot is our product. It is an AI job application bot: you upload your resume once and set filters for job titles, locations, remote work, salary and companies to exclude. The AI copilot then scans 600,000+ company career pages every day, tailors each application and applies for you. Premium costs $14.54 a week with one copilot and up to 20 applications a day; Elite costs $17.92 a week with three copilots, up to 50 a day and an AI-tailored resume for every application. Monthly ($33.69 or $44.96) and quarterly ($84.40 or $106.94) billing lower the weekly cost.

Unlike Sprout, volume is a daily limit inside the plan rather than a pooled allowance. At full daily use that is roughly $0.10 per application on Premium and $0.05 on Elite, though you rarely hit the cap every day. Review Mode lets you approve every application before it is sent, and it applies only to verified listings on official company career pages. Included tools are an AI Job Tracker, AI Resume Creator, AI Cover Letter Generator, AI Interview Simulator and a Chrome extension. There is no free trial.

Watch out for: you pay from day one, and it is a web app plus Chrome extension rather than a phone app.

2. Wobo: best for a swipe-style phone experience

Wobo shows matched jobs as cards; you swipe right and it sends the application. According to its pricing page (checked October 7, 2026), the free plan sends up to 5 applications a day, Unlimited costs $34.99 a month and keeps you choosing the jobs, and Autopilot costs $44.99 a month, lets Wobo choose and includes a 5-day free trial. It is the nearest match to the dating-app feel that made Sprout popular, with a free tier Sprout lacks. See our Wobo alternatives page for the full comparison.

Watch out for: its terms make fees generally non-refundable and allow it to create applicant-system accounts and an application email address on your behalf.

3. Massive: best for hand-vetted company matches

Massive is a New York service that matches you with roles at companies it says are hand-vetted, writes a custom resume and cover letter per job and applies for you, up to 200 jobs a month, with optional Autopilot. It publishes no prices; 2026 reports put Massive+ at about $199 per quarter, which is around $0.33 per application if you use all 600. Our Massive alternatives page covers it in depth.

Watch out for: Trustpilot showed 1.7 from 43 reviews on October 14, 2026, with complaints about poorly targeted applications and few interviews.

4. LazyApply: best for the lowest cost at maximum volume

LazyApply sells annual plans only: Basic at $99 a year for 15 applications a day, Premium at $149 for 150 a day and Ultimate at $999 for 1,500 a day (checked October 7, 2026). Spread over a full year of use, that is pennies per application, far below Sprout’s rates. Its 30-day money-back guarantee applies only to an initial subscription, only if you applied to fewer than 100 jobs and only if the product failed to work as advertised.

Watch out for: very high volume makes it hard to keep applications relevant, and you pay for a full year up front.

5. AIApply: best for writing tools plus pay-per-application

AIApply is an all-in-one toolkit from a UK company with resume and cover letter writers, interview practice and an Auto-Apply feature. A Premium subscription covers the writing tools, while Auto-Apply runs on credit packs where one credit equals one application. As of October 2026, its comparison page lists Pro at $29/month, or $12/month billed annually, with no credit-pack prices shown. Compare it with others in our AIApply alternatives guide.

Watch out for: you can’t see the total cost until you register, so price per application is hard to compare with Sprout’s published rates.

6. LoopCV: best free auto-apply tier

LoopCV runs “loops,” saved searches that find jobs on job boards and apply or send emails for you. Its free plan covers one loop and up to 10 applications or emails a month. Paid plans start at €9.99 a month on its pricing page (October 14, 2026); US visitors saw Standard at $19.99 for up to 100 and Premium at $59.99 for up to 300 on October 7, about $0.20 per item at full use. It says you can edit messages before sending and offers refunds within 7 days if you used no more than 10% of your quota.

Watch out for: quotas count applications and emails together, and the price you see depends on your region.

7. Simplify: best free autofill

Simplify is best known for Copilot, a free Chrome extension that autofills applications on systems such as Greenhouse, Workday and Lever and tracks what you submit. Simplify+ costs $19.99 a week or $39.99 a month, and Autopilot, its auto-apply mode, gives 20 credits a week, so a weekly subscription works out near $1 per Autopilot application. A credit is used only when an application is submitted.

Watch out for: its refund policy says payments are non-refundable once a subscription is active, and Autopilot volume is modest.

8. FastApply: best for low price per application

FastApply is a Chrome extension with a web dashboard. According to its pricing page (checked October 14, 2026), the 90-Day Sprint costs $12.67 a month for 200 applications (Starter), $25 for 500 (Pro) or $44 for 1,000 (Elite), roughly $0.06, $0.05 and $0.04 per application. A free tier includes 5 applications. Co-Pilot mode asks you to approve each one, and Apply for Me runs on its servers.

Watch out for: per its refund policy (updated July 27, 2026), fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, and the free plan only works while your browser tab stays open.

How to choose a Sprout AI alternative

Start with the reason you are leaving, then match it to one deciding question:

  1. How many applications do you actually need? At a few a day, Sprout’s monthly plan is fair value. Beyond about 200 a month, compare daily-limit plans (JobsAICopilot, FastApply) with annual LazyApply.
  2. What does one application cost? Divide the price by the cap you will really use, as the table above does. Weekly billing is rarely the cheapest way to pay.
  3. Do you want an approval step? Look for an explicit one: Review Mode in JobsAICopilot, Co-Pilot in FastApply, editable messages in LoopCV. Tools where you click submit yourself, such as Simplify Copilot, give the same control.
  4. Quality or volume? Tailored applications to roles you would accept beat hundreds of generic ones. Our guide on how many jobs to apply for a day explains realistic targets.
  5. What is the exit? Read the refund and renewal terms. As of October 2026, windows range from none (FastApply, Simplify after activation) to 7 days (LoopCV) and 30 days with conditions (LazyApply).

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have a question?

Send us a message from our contact page.

What is the best alternative to the Sprout job app?

It depends on what you want to change. For higher daily volume with an approval step, JobsAICopilot fits. For a swipe-style phone experience, Wobo is the closest. For the lowest price per application, FastApply and LazyApply publish the cheapest rates. For free autofill where you click submit, Simplify fits. Compare price per application and review controls first.

Is there a free alternative to Sprout AI job search?

Yes, with limits. As of October 2026, Wobo's free plan sends up to 5 applications a day, FastApply gives 5 free applications, LoopCV's free plan covers 10 applications or emails a month, and Simplify's Copilot autofill extension is free. Sprout's plans that include applications are paid, so free tiers suit light searches only.

How much does Sprout cost compared with other auto-apply tools?

Sprout costs $19.99 a week for 50 applications, $39.99 a month for 200 or $79.99 a quarter for 600 (checked October 14, 2026), about $0.40, $0.20 and $0.13 per application. FastApply Starter works out near $0.06 and JobsAICopilot Elite near $0.05 at full daily use. Heavy users usually pay less elsewhere; light users may not.

Is Sprout AI job search the same as Sprout Social?

No. Sprout AI job search is a consumer app at usesprout.com that finds jobs and submits applications. Sprout Social is a separate social media management tool for marketing teams. Reviews and pricing for one do not apply to the other, and neither is related to JobSprout, a third product that has its own Trustpilot page.

Which Sprout alternative lets me approve applications before they are sent?

Several do. JobsAICopilot has Review Mode, in which you approve every application before it goes out. FastApply has a Co-Pilot mode that asks for approval on each one, and LoopCV says you can edit messages first. Sprout also offers a review-first option, but its tap-to-apply shortcut makes skipping the check easy.

Can I cancel Sprout and switch to another tool?

Sprout's pricing page says there are no contracts, and subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are managed in your Apple or Google account. Note the renewal date, since the weekly plan renews every seven days. Before moving, check the new tool's refund terms: several competitors make fees non-refundable once a plan is active.
